Thomas F. O'Neill joined ADM’s board of directors in November 2004 and currently serves as chairman of its audit committee.
O’Neill, a founding principal of Sandler O’Neill + Partners L.P., began his Wall Street career at L.F. Rothschild & Co. in 1972, working with financial institutions in the Bank Service Group. In 1984, he was appointed to the position of the group’s managing director. The following year, he joined the late Herman Sandler in Bear Stearns’ Financial Services Group and became a Bear Stearns managing director and co-manager of the group. Since founding Sandler O’Neill, he has advised bank and thrift clients throughout the country on strategic transactions and financing.
In addition to his role at ADM, he serves as a director of Misonix, Inc., a publicly traded medical-equipment manufacturer, and of NASDAQ Stock Market, Inc., where he is a member of the Audit and Finance Committees.
O’Neill is a graduate of New York University and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
