Dairy Alternatives & Soya Milk
Do you want to build your share of the booming soya
beverage market? ADM NutriSoy® Organic Whole Soybean Powder allows almost any dairy packer to produce a top-quality soya drink with existing equipment. Our powder is made using a proprietary process that eliminates the cause of soya off-flavours, instantly making your soya beverage one of the best-tasting brands on the market. It is made from 100% organic soya beans, giving your product label an added selling plus. And because it incorporates the entire bean you do not have to deal with the big problem with traditional soya ‘milk’ production, that is of discarding up to 40% of the bean as a waste stream. In NutriSoy® Organic Whole Soybean Powder you get all the whole soya nutrition, including the valuable okara fibre.

ADM’s NutriSoy® Organic Whole Soybean Powder can also be used to make drinking yoghurts, frozen desserts, and cream and sour cream alternatives.

Nutritional Enhancement
From its oilseed processing, ADM is a major producer of phytosterols, which have been demonstrated to reduce blood cholesterol when consumed as part of an appropriate diet. There is growing interest in including these products for dairy applications – in milk and soya beverages, in fermented products and in cheeses. Now ADM has Novel Foods approval in the EU for its sterol and sterol ester products.

Pro-Fam® isolated soya proteins and Arcon® soya protein concentrates provide functionality (for example, in the form of emulsification) and enhance the nutritional content of a wide range of great-tasting dairy products.

Cocoa Products
De Zaan® cocoa powders provide both flavour and colour in beverages and puddings, flavoured yogurts and ice cream. Cocoa powders are a key component in the coatings for choc-ices.

Product & Performance Enhancers
Adlec™ fluid lecithin is a very effective emulsifier in dairy products; in whipped products it can enhance structure and firmness. Ultralec® de-oiled lecithin will improve the dispersibility of coffee whiteners.

ADM’s NovaXan™ xanthan gum helps give a stable, uniform structure in frozen desserts, gives excellent ‘cling’ in dairy dips and generally provides improved ‘body’ when included at low levels. It can be used effectively with other gums such as guar and locust bean, and with carrageenan.

pH Control
The acidulants citric acid and/or sodium citrate are widely used for pH adjustment and for flavour.

Oils & Fats
For ice cream production, ADM offers a range of customized vegetable oils and fats.
