An ingredient company such as ADM might not be the first place you would expect to find first-class chefs practising their art in a state-of-the-art culinary centre. So why do we do it? Because we know that all the best new product developments begin, and end, in the kitchen.
At ADM, we know that our ingredients will work for you only if they work for your customers as well. That is why we are determined that every ingredient we supply must deliver excellent taste, texture and function in the home or restaurant. By better understanding the interaction between ingredient function, flavour and texture, ADM's researchers meet this goal. They can enthuse you with new product ideas, show you how to incorporate the latest functional food ingredients or help you get your products to market faster and more cost-effectively - ensuring that your end-product meets consumers' quality and taste expectations, while delivering its full profit potential to you.
Located at the James R. Randall Research Center in Decatur, Illinois, in the U.S.A., the ADM Culinary Centre houses the latest equipment to replicate both restaurant and consumer uses. Our Centre stocks over 700 ingredients, including an extensive range of exclusive ADM ingredient innovations, plus a fully equipped spice and flavour library.
However, one of the important components of the Center itself is its staff. This experienced staff is led by the supervising Research Chef, a graduate of both the Culinary Institute of America and the University of Maryland's Food Science program, who brings years of experience. Working closely with ADM Research scientists, the Culinary Centre staff brings to your business a solid grounding in both research and the culinary arts. This diversity of backgrounds enables us to collaborate smoothly with product development and other specialists, while our culinary expertise makes for a high level of taste and creativity.
