A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Pat began her career with Ernst & Young in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a certified public accountant. Attracted to the complexity and opportunity of a global energy company, she joined Gulf Oil Corporation in 1977 and held positions in refining, marketing, strategic planning and finance. Following the merger of Gulf and Chevron in 1987, Pat served as president of Chevron Canada and later Chevron International Oil Company. With the merger of Chevron and Texaco in 2001, she was named executive vice president in charge of the company’s refining, marketing, lubricant, and supply and trading operations.
