A Singular Focus on Safety Wherever we work and however our jobs lead us into other areas of corporate responsibility, everyone at ADM has a role to play – and an everyday mission – to help move the Company one step closer to Zero.

Here are some highlights from around the globe:

  • In Canada, employees found that consistently wearing work gloves reduced hand injuries 85 percent. Learn more.
  • In Poland, colleagues conducted safety audits and focused on equipment maintenance procedures. Learn more.
  • In Mexico, team members shared safety tips that they gathered from other ADM locations. Learn more.

2007 Highlights

  • We closed our fiscal year with double-digit improvement in the rates of both lost workdays and recordable incidents.
  • We achieved zero lost workdays during Global Safety Week in April and had our best-ever performance for that full month.
  • We achieved zero recordable incidents at 275 ADM facilities.
  • We launched a new global Safety & Health Action Plan to ensure we continue to make progress towards zero incidents, zero injuries, every day.
