Internship:
The accounting internship program is designed to provide students with accounting experience in the private sector that may potentially lead to full-time opportunities in our Accounting Training Program. Students are required to have a minimum 2.75 GPA and have junior standing, with fifteen to eighteen hours in the following classes: Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Advanced Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Tax and Business Law. The student performs accounting duties, including inventory reconciliation, accounts payable, plant close and profit/loss analysis. ADM is looking for motivated accountants with good communication skills to join the Summer Accounting Internship Program.

Entry level:
The accounting training program for entry-level employees is generally a two to three year program consisting of six month to one-year assignments in a variety of accounting areas including corporate, grain, operation and internal audit. The Accounting Department prefers to promote people from within the Company, so advancement opportunities are excellent. Candidates must be able to function independently, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills are critical in order to communicate effectively in different disciplines and with varying levels of management.
