ADM Announces Call For Community Grant Applications
Continuing its commitment to strengthening American agricultural communities, Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) today
called for applications for its 2008 Community Partnership Grant Program.

The program will award up to four grants of $10,000 each for community improvement projects in cities and towns where ADM operates.

“ADM believes we have a responsibility to the communities in where we live and work, and we are committed to enhancing the quality of life in these areas,” said Mirinda Rothrock, ADM corporate community engagement manager. “We encourage both local leaders and ADM colleagues to identify, and submit for consideration, projects that address needs in their communities.”

ADM began the Community Partnership Grant Program in 2005. Through it and other efforts – like the FFA scholarship program, National Agriculture Day and sponsorship of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids – ADM works to ensure a strong future for American agriculture.

Tax-exempt, non-profit, educational or community organizations in ADM communities are encouraged to apply. Applications must be postmarked by June 30, 2008.

Last year, more than 100 community organizations applied for ADM Community Partnership Grants. The 2007 recipients were:

  • Area Five 4-H Youth of Sullivan, Indiana
  • Hoerner YMCA of Keokuk, Iowa
  • Madison Elementary School PTA of Winona, Minnesota
  • Marshall County Library of Marshall, Minnesota
