In partnership with Chemical Specialties Inc. (CSI), ADM is providing oil technology to enhance the performance of wood-based building materials. ADM’s specialty modified linseed oils are incorporated into a new generation of wood preservative formulations that provide dimensional stability, decay and termite resistance, and enhanced performance against mold. And they’re all rooted in sustainable, environmentally responsible technology.

CSI is the international market leader in new-generation wood preservative formulations. One of those products is ACQ, which was awarded the prestigious U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Presidential Green Chemistry Award for 2002. Combining ADM’s successful track record in linseed oil research and development with CSI’s ability to develop and produce a wide range of wood treatment formulations, this joint project will lead to continued growth in preserving the future for treated wood.
