For the third year in a row, the people who buy food ingredients were asked to name the best suppliers in the business.
This year as last, customers from a wide range of industries offered up the same answer: ADM.
The recognition came from the independent Reader’s Choice Awards, sponsored by the respected trade publications Food Processing and Wellness Foods magazines. For 2005, Archer Daniels Midland Company earned Best Overall Supplier honors in four separate categories of food and
wellness ingredients: Fats & Oils, Grains, Soy Proteins and Fiber.

The Readers’ Choice Awards, now in their third year, annually recognize the top food and wellness product manufacturers. The awards are broken down by publication, with Food Processing (65,000 subscribers) surveying readers regarding food flavors and ingredients and Wellness Foods (20,000 subscribers) canvassing those involved in wellness ingredients. The magazines contact readers from across food, beverage and wellness industry job functions and request the names of suppliers readers believe are the best in the industry, based on technical service, customer service and consistency. All responses are unprompted.
